Dakota Digital BIM-01-2-HAL Interface HALTECH Module

Dakota Digital is proud to introduce the BIM Expansion modules for Dakota Digital RTX, HDX, VHX and VFD3 instrument systems. The Dakota Digital BIM-series modules allow you to add up to an additional 16 gauges, that's right we said SIXTEEN specialty gauge readings, to your vehicle without cutting extra holes in the dash or installing pillar and pod mounts in your interior.

Please note that the BIM modules are only compatible with current RTX, HDX, VHX, VFD3 and RET control boxes which have a black plastic housing. Control boxes with metal housings are not compatible with the BIM modules.

This Bus Interface Module is designed to read engine information from specific Haltech CAN bus enabled devices.

These kits include Elite series ECU, Elite 1500 or Elite 2500.

The module is connected to the Haltech device through the 4-pin
Haltech connection plug on the main harness.

There are two interface (I/O) ports on the module. Either one can be connected to the gauge system or to another
module, allowing several units to be daisy chained together.

Do not connect the I/O port to anything other than a Dakota
Digital gauge or BIM.

Do not mount the module in the engine compartment; it should be mounted in interior of the vehicle.

The engine and transmission information that is available from the unit depends on the Haltech module programming and add-ons.

Available readings:

engine RPM,

vehicle speed,

engine coolant temperature,

intake/manifold air temperature,

oil
pressure,

fuel pressure,

A/F ratio,

MIL,

trans temp,

MAP pressure,

boost, fuel level.

A GPS-50-2 CANNOT be linked (daisy chained) to a BIM-01-2 with a BIM cable.

The two units cannot talk to the display control box at the same time.
