Domestic Engine Pulleys

Speed Shop Forgelite billet aluminum V-belt pulleys are made from billet 6061-T6 by using an aerospace forging process. This process creates pulleys that are 400 percent stronger than cast pulleys and 50 percent stronger than plain billet pulleys! Speed Shop pulleys are forged in a unique process that allows the metal to be formed to the shape of the pulleys, resulting in an ultra-strong forging that is just like the forged crankshaft and pistons used in high performance motors. For durability and safety, each pulley is heat-treated to a T6 condition, which hardens and strengthens the pulley forging to prevent fatigue cracking. Speed Shop then double tempers the forging to improve overall toughness and to prevent warping under load.
