Dakota Digital BIM-01-2-AEM Expansion EFI Interface
This unit is plug-and-play. Attach the included Y-harness to your AEMnet device. No further setup is required!
NEW ITEM!!
The BIM-01-2-AEM is designed to read the engine information from the AEM CAN bus (AEMnet) enabled devices such as the Infinity ECU, Series 2 EMS or EMS-4 kits. The BIM-01-2-AEM module is a direct plug in using the supplied 4 pin harness for simple connection to the AEMnet system.
The BIM-01-2-AEM will collect and output the following available (depending upon AEM application and add-ons selected) readings to Dakota Digital Instrument Systems*:
- Speedometer
Tachometer
Water Temperature
Oil Pressure
Fuel Pressure
A/F Ratio
Intake Air Temperature
Boost
Transmission Temp
Check Engine Indicator
*The BIM-01-2-AEM is designed to decode the information provided by the Infinity ECU, Series 2 EMS or EMS-4 kits and supply this information to the VFD3, VHX, HDX and RTX control box instrument systems only. Information present is dependent on AEM application and add-ons selected.
**Compatible Dakota Digital instrument system: RTX, HDX, VHX and VFD3 systems with a black plastic control module. For any BIM-compatible control boxes which contain the 3.5mm headphone jack BIM input, add part number 394193 adaptor harness. Earlier instrument systems with an aluminum control module are not capable of BIM connectivity

More Info | This Bus Interface Module is designed to read engine information from specific AEM CAN bus (AEMnet) enabled devices. These kits include Infinity ECU, Series 2 EMS or EMS-4. The module is connected to the AEM device through the 4-pin AEMnet connection plug on the main harness. There are two interface (I/O) ports on the module. Either one can be connected to the gauge system or to another module, allowing several units to be daisy chained together. Do not connect the I/O port to anything other than a Dakota Digital gauge or BIM. Do not mount the module in the engine compartment; it should be mounted in interior of the vehicle. The engine and transmission information that is available from the unit depends on the AEM module programming and add-ons. The possible values are: engine RPM, vehicle speed, engine coolant temperature, intake/manifold air temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, A/F ratio, MIL, trans temp and boost. Available readings: engine RPM, vehicle speed, engine coolant temperature, intake/manifold air temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, A/F ratio, MIL, trans temp and boost |
