Neuspeed NM.228856 Engine Torque Arm Insert for Mini Cooper. As a compromise, the OEM torque arm mount is set in rubber to reduce vibration and harmonics, however it is too pliable and sloppy for performance minded motoring.

Neuspeed NM Engine Torque Arm Mount Insert is made of polyurethane and reduces engine movement allowing for quicker and more direct transfer of power from the engine to the wheels.

A torque arm is an imaginary line extending from the pivot point (point around which the torque is acting) that is perpendicular to the direction of the force applied (line of force). To find it in two dimensions, take a ruler and extend the force arrow out until it passes the pivot point. Now, take a protractor, aligned so that 0 and 180 degrees are on the elongated arrow line, and slide the protractor down the arrow line until the 90 degree mark is over the pivot point. At that point the little circle representing the center of the protractor circle is positioned where the torque arm ends. Measuring from the pivot point to this point will give you the length of the torque arm.
